I used the nearly six hours of drive time this weekend to listen to Paul’s Boutique and Hello Nasty a few times through, because it had honestly been awhile and those were the easiest to grab quickly before hitting the road Friday.
I am still profoundly sad over the death of MCA, but it is utterly impossible to feel anything other than unbounded joy while listening to his music.

I haven’t posted much about Tuesday’s show as I’m still trying to piece the remains of my exploded head back together but mostly because words like AWESOME and LIFE-CHANGING and FUCKING DNA-ALTERING can’t do it justice.
Still, I do have to relate that hearing this song live just about wrecked my shit like never before.

I’ve had this stuck in my head for like three days now, and for the life of me I can’t figure out whether Alexis is singing “86 power hour” (as I originally thought), “96 power power” (as some lyrics websites claim), or “ladies drink, power hour” (as other lyrics websites claim). Whatever; this song kicks so much ass regardless.
